More Birthday Shots

My first Second Birthday

Miguel you celebrated your second birthday in Billings with your grandparents, Uncle Pie and Aunt Kimmy.  Grammy Terry made you a very cute train cake, knowing how much you love choochoos.  We ate bbq, blew out candles and as expected you cried when you realized all the attention was on you.  It was a very fun celebration.  Tonio also enjoyed it greatly by devouring the clown ice cream cone.

Billings

On Sunday your dad, PopPops and Uncle Pie went fishing in Bozeman. With Grammy Terry we went to a water playground. Miguel you had fun splashing around and chasing grasshoppers. Then off to ice cream- one of the many you would have with your grandparents. We had a good time playing at the parks, outside, eating (ALOT of eating) and having adventures.

Even though your grandparents pool wasnt
finished yet, you still had a great time
playing in their backyard.

On Wednesday we went to the Montana Fair. You both had your first hotdog, tried fried pickles, drank lemonade, tasted funnel cake, fed goats, rode a train, and saw many interesting people.

Your dad took you on a Billings tour where  we saw his Clark Ave house (the legend), played at Pioneer Park where he played,  saw choochoos at the depot and then watched a plane take off at the airport.

Then lastly we went to a wedding at the baseball park. Besides the one bazillion bees you both had a good time running hills and playing on the field.

Montana

Your dad spent the plane flight telling you his crazy version of his family history... of how his father homesteaded Billings. Even though you both are exhausted you both work up happy because your grandparents made a nice room for you filled with toys and made you a huge breakfast filled with your favorite foods. They had a surprise for you- a swimming pool- but its not finished yet. We will find wawa for you though Miguel.

Vacation

After spending a week in New York City we are resting in Billings, Montana. I spent the week in a histroy seminar while Brian, Tonio and Miguel toured the city.
After a red eye flight we arrived in New York and checked in at a our youth hostel in Times Square. We went to Central Park and the playground was fantastic. There were sprinklers everywhere and this cool castle like structure with so many levels and it was filled with water. Miguel you were in heaven! Later that day we met up with your uncle Pi and aunt Kiki to go to Brooklyn. You both liked the subway. Miguel you kept yelling choochoo! After eating bbq and taking the choochoo back you both slept hard.

You spent the rest of the week with your dad going to Central Park, Madison Park, Central Park Zoo, the Natural History Museum, and hanging out with your Uncle Pie and Grandma Lolly (or Olly).  You ate nothing but bananas and pretzels and charmed everyone.  The youth hostel people loved you, all the street food vendors and even all the working types would laugh at you both covered with ice cream.  You even had a few tourists take your pictures.
