Funny Things You Say
Tonio- You say "Oh My" (from Josh) and "Oh my gosh"
Yesterday at PopPop's house you said, "Mommy what is that?" pointing to a a hole in the ground. You then answered your own question, "Is that where monsters, snakes and alligators live?" Where you got that combination I dont know but it was so cute.

The Magic City
While Dad is in Ireland with Tony, you both and I went to visit PopPop and Terry in Billings. You are having a great time swimming and being spoiled. Miguel- You are a swimmer! The first minute you stepped in the house you went straigt for the pool. In three days you have turned into a real fish! You like to go on my back and do "dolphin". I swim under and you go with me. You like to go underwater with PopPop and have staring contests. You can also mimick swimming pretty well. You cant do it by yourself yet but you have all the movements and confidence. Tonio- You really like to jump off the edge. You dont quite like going under but like Miguel, you have no fear of the water.
You love the bikes, the water, the ice cream and the love here.

Father's Day Weekend
Giants County Fair
With Savita, Dale, Lucci and Gia we went to the Giants County Fair Saturday Night. The boys had a great time with Lucci on all of the rides. Miguel, you loved the cars and the dragon rollercoaster. On the cars, you chose to ride a dune buggy. Lucci was driving, you were in the passenger seat and Tonio was in the back with arms spread out over the seat. We, the parents, all saw in the future at that moment. Instead of ride, the three of you driving around San Francisco causing mayhem. I was surprised to see you, Tonio, go on the rollercoaster. You like the idea of them but not quite sure of the reality. You went on with Lucci, peer pressure your dad said. One ride around was enough. You were petrified. You did not cry but I could tell it was not for you. Three weeks later and that is all you talk about. Both of you. You woke up today, Tonio, talking about dragon roller coasters.
Double Decker Bus Ride
For actual Father's Day we took the tourist double decker. It was a beautiful day and we sat up top on the bus with all of the tourists. You both loved it. We stopped at the Golden Gate Bridge. It was your first time on it. The only dream I have ever had with you in danger has been Miguel falling off the bridge. I didnt let you go very far. Our second stop was North Beach. The North Beach Festival was in full swing and Italy was playing that day in the World Cup so it was packed. We ate focacia and cookies at my favorite little bakery and then headed for Washington Square to listen to some cheesy festival music. There were some old hippie hold-outs passing out bubbles and blowing bubbles. You both had fun chasing them around. It was a great afternoon.

Jr. Wilderness Explorers- Tennessee Valley
Our second adventure was a great success. We had a wonderful time hiking at Tennessee Valley in Marin. It was a mile and half to the ocean. On the way they hunted for rolly pollies and caterpillars. At the ocean it was Lucci, Gia, Miguel and Tonio playing in this brackish yucky water. Of course, I had to carry Tonio a significant way back home but he did run when anyone mentioned a bug.
