My little cutie pie. These are some things passer-byers have said to me about you:
- He is Mr. Charisma
- What a beautiful smile
- What a personality
- He is beautiful
- He seems like such a happy baby
I agree with it all. You are a sweet little boy and very happy- unless I put you in your crib for nap (like right now and you are totally crying).
You love your brothers and get really excited when you see them. Tonio right now loves to speak baby talk to you and Migs still covers you with kisses.
You have your two bottom front teeth in.
You started eating solids: right now its cereal, banana and apricot.
You are squirmmy.
Arrow you are wonderful and I just love hanging out. Our days look like this:
6:00 am- feed and lay in bed
7:00- 8:30: eat and get dressed and play with dad
8:30- take boys to school
9:00 walk and nap
9:30-12:00 we often walk or hang out with a friend of mine.
1:00 - try to nap
2:00- sometimes walk sometimes hang out or sit in the car while we get ready for the boys
3:30- get boys
5:30 eat
6:00 bath
6:30 eat.
You would not take a nap in your crib. You cried and cried about 45 minutes. So your dad put you in bed with him and while you were playing- Bam! you fell asleep. I love it.
Urban picnic.

Miguel's main interest right now is calling brian and I mean. Can you make that into a cake? Otherwise he likes zombies, legos and cars. Typical boy stuff. A bubblegum machine would be cute. He likes dogs. Its July now so the fog came in on cue yesterday and the wind and the average 61 degree temp. I guess we shouldnt complain after reading about the other states. We figure god likes liberals so he gives us cooler weather. No news on the house. The entire development is empty. We have no idea why and its frustrating. Otherwise all is well and the boys are okay. They were so bad in church yesterday. The priest- you might know of him because he went to loyola and his dad was a dodger, cookie lavangeto (spelling?)- brings all the kids up to the altar for the homily. He gave a nice homily about touch and caring for others. As the kids were all walking down the altar Miguel pulls tonio's hair, tonio pushes miguel and splat goes miguel down the main aisle. So we marched home and they spent 7.5 hours in their room yesterday. They were actually pretty good once in there except they peed in their room because they were afraid to ask to come out. Arrow is good- rolling over and getting stuck and laughing a lot.
Say hi to everyone.
Callen
Arrow at 4 months
You love chewing on both hands.
You can giggle when tickled.
You are beginning to roll over onto your tummy, then you get stuck and cry.
Your hair turned blond!

Today was such a warm and beautiful day- both environmentally and internally- that I needed to record the day.
Miguel, Tonio and I left early to do a few errands. We dropped the books off at the library, visited the rec center to see the rec lady, Renee, and how her garage sale was going and ate snow cones. We donated most of the goods to the garage sale and it was pretty funny to see you guys look at the toys and games that were once yours and hear you say, "hey, we have this at home". I quickly shuffled you away. We then went to a cafe- not the cafe- and played ms. pac man. We then went to the farmers market and ate lunch. It was a very warm and sunny day and it felt very good. The neighborhood was celebrating Juneteenth with a street party, where you both jumped in a jumpy house- that almost collapsed-, ate free popcorn and snow cones (you never had one before and today you had 3!), and blew big bubbles. I loved watching Tonio chase the bubbles.
Daddy and Arrow picked us up and we went to a park in San Mateo that has water that shoots out of the ground. You both ran around in the water and scootered. Your dad, Arrow, and I sat under a tree, in the shade, just being lazy. It was just perfect.
